Lonely, I'm so lonely.
I have nobody, I'm all on my own. -sings

Went church all alone this morning without my family members.
The entire trip there and back was like never-ending.
Now, then I truly felt having someone, anyone that you know by your side is such a blissful thing. (:

Anyway, I entered the Sanctuary, walked through that familiar path between rows of benches and finally got a seat after that. Darling Jia Ying couldn't accompany me as she's gotta play the piano.
Met up with her halfway through the service (yes you didn't see wrongly, halfway) and went over to the Chapel.
Wasn't very surprised that it was all FULL. Not even a single seat was available for our butts.
Gosh, the entire place was packed, fully packed. Had no choice but to walked back to the Sanctuary again.
There, we met Marcus and finally found seats at the back.

Beloved Ying and I headed to Plaza Sing. after the longer-than-usual service ended.
Charles and Keith, then to Chippy British.

Girls, being girls, loved the camera alooooooooooooooooooot.
Had a massive camwhoring session back in the toilet after choir.

Oh, and Shi Jia babe gave me an adorable little sheep which came all the way from New Zealand.

Hello there, my beloved head-turner!

Met up with Louisa on Friday and went town-ing with her.
Planned to watch 'Juno' but when we reached Cineleisure's Cathay, there were only 1st and 2nd seatings left.
And we didn't get the tix like 15 minutes before the movie, it's fully an hour before it starts showing. How disappointing!
Louie decided on a Korean movie and we caught it later that afternoon. And guess what? The show was DEAD-BORING that we walked out in the middle of it.

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!

So it's the once-in-a-year kind of thing again.
The visits, receiving of red packets, having lunch together..
Adults speaking (some in dialects), cousins just fixing their eyes on the tv and not talking much.
We're not very close you see. So it's pretty boring having to go to the two grandparents' house, and wasting time there. :/

All in all, the girls are all getting prettier while the guys are getting more style, and better looking. (:

SUNDAY TODAY!
I love Sundays (:

Morning service in church, thank goodness I don't have Sunday School teaching today. (It's an even month, remember?)
Finally had my communion in the Sanctuary.

Gave choir a miss just to have lunch with my family members.
But well, it's only for half an hour today right? So it doesn't make any difference whether I turned up or not.
BUT.. I felt really bad to my lao shi's son, Stephen, who just joined choir today. Lao shi bumped into me today and told me that he's joining but I just bluntly said, "I'm not attending today". How heartless can I be right. Yup, go ahead and lecture me ):

Waited for Sis who took ages to turn up and we headed to Plaza Sing. to meet Mommy and Daddy.
We had a gruesome encounter on our way there.
Laughing at some joke that we cracked, this man/woman (I seriously don't know the gender!) who walked towards us at Phoby X-Change pointed his/her MIDDLE FINGER straight into our faces.
I was too stunned to react at that moment of time. When he/she walked away, we went to a corner and I laughed slightly.
And... for no apparent reason that weird person turned up once more!
This time, he/she pointed the same damn middle finger and demanded, "没有这个可以生孩子吗?!"
His/her facial expression was so scary that I held my Sis's hand and ran away. Luckily a waitress who witnessed the situation told us that there's something wrong with that person's brain and told us to get away fast.

This whole thing freaked the hell outta me. Lord, I pray that I won't encounter something like this again.

Another time, he aimed me once more during hosting of the show.

Can you just imagine that scenario? All the audiences were looking in my direction, where I was sitting.

Life and work's turning out quite alright for me. And talking about work, I'll be working from 9.30am to 7pm daily in the month of January. Can you imagine doing closing for the entire month?! Well, I can't. -shakes head ):

Had church today. Taught in Sunday School and had some Teachers' Ceremony thingy in the afternoon. Choir with an empty tummy after that and gosh, I could hear it crying out loud for food during that time.

Attended my cousin's wedding at Civil Servant Club last night.
She's only 17, the groom's 18. Both made a great pair, because they're good-looking.
However, that groom with braces acted like an ah beng.
He behaved as if the entire ballroom's his, called out loudly to his friends and stuff. -.-

Oh, and my cuzzies changed so much overnight. Perhaps it's the fact we haven't seen each other since CNY.

My second open-house of the entire AMK Hub has finally come to an end today. Phew.
My kids danced extremely well today! And I'm so proud of each and everyone of them. You guys have made me a proud Teacher Hui Yun! [:[:

Did I mention that lau shi and I are in charge of our class children's performace for Mr. Lim Boon Heng today? We did a merlion lantern and mooncakes for that man mentioned above. I did a process of lantern-making book for him to sign on as well. We rushed everything like a mad train during the past one week. Everything was like touch-and-go.
Gosh, how glad I am that everything has ended smoothly. (:

Am glad to meet Sheryl and Tricia once more during the open-house today.
Both have been assigned to come down to my centre to help out.
We'll catch up soon ladies.
I certainly do HOPE so. The 3 of us are like so busy working, working & working... non-stop. ):

Down with flu and sore throat. Oh, those similar symptoms once more.
I know I sound like damn proud about it... but I'm not.
I've been falling sick thrice (or maybe more?) ever since working.

Just came back from the doc's and she said I'd take at least 6 pathetic months to get used to the working environment.

There's actually another reason why I'm getting sore throat so often lately. I've been taking this multi-vitamin & mineral supplement recommended by Daddy. He kept saying it's good for the body, blah blah..
But the doctor said its WAAAAAAY too heaty for da bodaye.
Baaaaaah. -stares real hard into Dad's direction

Am so free to blog now because I've left my thumbdrive in school. Can't do work stuffs now.
Oh well, I should just rest and concentrate on getting better right?

Talking about work, my centre's gonna have 2 open houses on coming Sat, the 15th & 22nd Sep (following sat), from 10am to 4pm. Cabbed from AMK Hub (my workplace) to Jadey's house, then to Raffles City.
Total fare amount: 17 plus bucks, close to 18. (including $2 ERP & $2 peak hours charges)

We sat in a dark corner of the dining area where we are able to do ALL the stuffs that you can imagine. That place's seriously a good one for those. Hah.

I indeed made a fool out of myself while doing those stupid hand gestures, thinking that the other table can't see through that translucent glass partition. DUMB-ARSE LAH YOU.

She said she misses me and that she's contented with my presence. Am still as crazy and have a GOOD pair of listening ears. -coughs :p

Anyway, work's real tough. I enjoy school life much much more.
I miss studying lah. I know I sound like some nerd who buries her head under tonnes and piles of books. But.. it's true. I'd rather study than work work & work. :/
Tiredddd know. The centre has 7 confirmed cases of hand foot mouth disease.
The teachers have now a new job of a cleaner by washing toys, wiping furnitures, disinfecting their classrooms...

I've got a couple of new colleagues. And can you imagine it, one of them was from my sec school.
So I've got 2 colleagues from bps altogether, my seniors. Hhahaha.
Come to think of it, it's really memorable talking about the life during those good old days.
The teachers (papaya lee), seniors, and even principals like daisy flower tan. -wide grin

Had dinner @ Ichiban sushi with Shuann after work.
An awesome company and fabulous food.
We shopped around the hub before leaving for home.

Anyway, work's stressful. Though I don't get complains from parents, I gotta do so so much for the centre.

One of my colleagues who just graduated from NP's my sec school senior. How coincidental aye.

I hope Sam's doing fine in camp though he complained that the eating environment's not good? Come on, be a MAN alright boy. They're training you for this.

And I've just come to realised that some people around me are hypocrites. They say something in front of you and something 180 degrees differently to the others. I despise those human beings.. no wait.. I don't think they're deserved to me called one. :/

One more thing, I've got my braces on already and my whole mouth's full of ulcers. :/

Today's my last day of work back at Ywca, last day for one of my child at LSH.
Boy I'm gonna miss all my kids as well as the one who left my current workplace. -sigh
Made cards for the teachers at Ywca, bought stickers & chocolates for both children & teachers.
My class main teacher even gave me a hugeeeeee Minnie mug. Aww, how very sweet of her. (:

Oh and did I mentioned that I'm scheduled to conduct a lesson to my Sunday school kids on coming Sunday, which is like almost a day awaaaaay? And for the love of God, I haven't even start preparing anything, not even reading the bible verses. Dead meat.

WHY IN THE WORLD ARE YOU SO PROBLEMATIC, MISS HUI YUN?!

Anyway, I'm on MC for work yesterday and today, not because I'm sick or what (i'm only starting to feel sick today)
It's because of.. extraction of 4 teeth withing these 2 days. Actually decided to have all 4 extracted on Tuesday but the dentist couldn't numb my 2 bottom ones. So in the end, only the 2 top ones are extracted and the other 2 are extracted yesterday. The whole process was painful you know.

Can you imgaine yourself sitting alone on that dental chair, shivering from the cold (air con lah), only yo look up with the masked dentist and his assisstants all staring back at you?
Can you imagine what happens when the dentist stretches his hands over to take that long needle almost the length of a pen (well, maybe half), getting ready to insert it into your gums?
Can you imgaine the pain when the needle was inserted right into that soft gums of yours just to numb the area?
Can you imagine how much blood there was on the gauze when the teeth are extracted?
I tell you, I almost fainted from shock and fear during these 2 days.
Does one really have to endure so much before putting braces? ):
Well, I wouldn't dare to imagine the pain of a lady giving birth.

Am going back to work tmr.
I wonder if I'll be able to pronounce every word correctly in front of my children.
Will I be able to even have lunch back at the centre? I can't even chew anything, only to swallow everything being placed into my mouth.
What will others say?
I'm worried, yes, I am. ):
I hope everything goes smoothly for me...

I know I have been like a whinny child who is complaining as if it's the end of the world. I can't help it. Sorry for this post.

Normal church 'routine', only thing that I service-ed at chapel instead of the main santuary.

Thought they're having communion on the 2nd week but heard that it was changed to the last week of the month. -.- Argh, and I'd rather witness my fellow bros & sis in-christ back at the santuary for their baptism/confirmation.
Thousand apologies to Ying, Sam & Kevin for asking you guys to accompany me there. ):

Had lunch/helped out (a little) at Nan Xiang with Sam, Sallie, Kevin, Adeline.
Sallie left and we booked 4 air tickets to the UK Fairfair.. beside Bishan J8. -stares at Shijia :D

Samuel and Kevin (s&k) sat on this ride that enabled them to see the whole of Bishan, sending them 360 degrees across the night sky.

2) It was late at that time and my mind completely shut off.
3) We're like sitting only 4 seats away from the screen.

Before I begin my post for the day, I wanna make something clear to those nosey little parkers reading my blog:
So what if we REALLY have couple looks, like what you guys said? KEVIN AND I ARE JUST PURELY FRIENDS.

And do you know that my centre at Little Skoolhouse had a confirmed case of Hand. foot, mouth disease yesterday. (is this the actual name of it? i dont know)
So the parents are now panicking and only four N1 children turned up today with 3 teachers in class. Such good teacher to child ratio aye.
Only 2 turned up for my class and 1 for emergency care. And in the end, a boy in my class was sent home because spots were found on his hands, feet and body & he's running a slight fever.
Gosh, as the class teacher, I started panicking myself too. :/
So all toys and books are being disinfected and the whole centre smells so detol-LY.
The teachers then started to use that spray to disinfect ourselves too.

Lord, I pray that all the kids will be fine and that this disease will not spread around. Please take care of everyone's health, including the children, staffs and parents. Amen.

It's my third day of work at Little Schoolhouse International at-the-hub today.
And I'm really glad that my supervisor isn't THAT strict and demanding as I once thought.
The air-condition was brr.. cold and I felt as if my lens are drying up in my eyes. Sounds gross aye. :/ Am now working from 8 to 4 there & 4.30 to 7 at YWCA.
One word to sum everything: DOG-TIRED. ):

A brief introduction:
- Teacher Hui Yun (yes, I resumed that name back instead of Miss Chiam back at YWCA)
- Main/Form/English teacher of N2
- Currently having 4 little angels who are all BOYS. (bet you guys can imagine how firm, strict & how much I had to raise my voice) Nah, kidding. Don't worry, I'm a nice, sweet, caring teacher alright! :D

The centre doesn't have any intake of the kindergartens (k1s & k2s) YET. Soon to open!
The teachers are all not so bad.
The N1 form teacher's graduated from np, turning 20.
The aunties there are damn damn nice.
There was a GUY who's attached to our centre. (woo, RARE-ness)

And if you guys wanna know about my previous job @ YWCA, yes, am going back there to fulfill remaining attachment hours and as a relief teacher till end June. I'll start work officially on 1st July at LSH. (:

Hi people. Me back from Batam. It was indeed a wonderful place with lovely scenery, beautiful natural environment, fresh air & a couple of mozzies. :D

Oh, did I mention that we are staying on some stilt (is that how you spell?) house which is super close to the sea? Had jacuzzi and a body scrub from that villa too. Boy, what more could I ask for staying in that paradise with all my beloved friends?

Anyway, I just showered and I THINK that freaking Gatsby wax borrowed from Kevin's still on my hair (?) Talking about Kevin, he kept saying that I'm an ah lian worzxzxzxzx. And why do I always give people the wrong impression hur? ):

I just had a warm bath and decided to blog while waiting for my hair to dry.
Anyway, I didn't have to turn up for work as I've to take an x-ray for my teeth at some dental clinic @ Tanglin Shopping Centre today.
The dentist said I actually have very neat teeth, only that muaaa mouth's too small to squeeze everything in.
That's why those buck teeth came out. :/

Am going to sign the contract for Little School-House tomorrow morning, for a month contract first.
Heard from Clara that they're quite.. uhm, VERY strict in attire, attitude and stuff. No nail polish, long nails, lateness, and the list goes on..
God, please please help me to adapt to the environment soon man.
My current centre isn't in need of teacher so I can't stay there permanently. ):

Hello Human Beings.

I've got a piece of wonderful news to share. Okay, everyone listen up!
I'VE PASSED MY FIELD SUPERVISION. Oh yes, under those eyes of the field supervisor.
And my centre supervisor's so very sweet to say a prayer for me before everything. Aww.

Well, my class teacher said I sounded nervous during tuning but I began to warm up when the main lesson was conducted.
The children are all very well-behaved, during the lesson implementation and when they're at the learning centres.
Good good children they are. -ruffles hair

In the end, the field supervisor and I 'chatted' over a cup of warm water (she's obviously the one drinking it) Hhahaha.
I was a little taken by suprise when she said she was quite impressed with the lesson itself, that there are alot of interaction with kids and stuff. -big big waves (like the one the president does) :D
`Cos I'm a pre-service teacher whaaaaat. So it's not easy alright. Hheheh.
Anyway, I've really learnt alot from my class teacher and my centre's supervisor.
Credits should all go to them. Thanks alot!

And for all those who are under Gurmit, no worries aye.
She isn't as strict as she looks and marks our work. All the best for your coming field supervision. (:

Oh and I dined with Mummy at Pastamania for dinner.

YAY-NESS. Led my cladd to the supermarket together with the 2 class teachers and my supervisor. It's indeed my honour that she came along. So I introduced the different food sections and occupations of people working there.

Oh and by the way, my interview was a success and I was shortlisted to join the team of teachers & supervisor of The Little Skool-House (AMK Hub) as a permanent teacher (not an assistant teacher anymore) -jumps about

The centre's close-concept, which means the entire place is air-conditioned and each class has its own classroom. Only the dining, computer & play areas are shared. However, on the other hand, I don't really bear to leave my little ones back at YWCA ):

I'm quite torn between the 2 offers actually. One is alot closer to my place (I can walk there) and the other environment's really good and offering better pay. Lord, since you've opened two doors for me, please help me to make a wise decision that I won't regret later in life. May I love my job, my kids as well as my collagues around me. Amen.

It's been more than a year since we've first known each other. Thank you Lord, for bringing you guys into my life. Amen.

Today's the last day of school. We will be going for attachment in our own centres till around June. After June, we're counted to have 'officially' completed the entire course but the diploma will only be presented to us somewhere in October.

Yes, I definitely look forward to it, at the same time, I'd miss those good ole' days too. But everyone'll bound to go their seperate ways and work in different centres after graduation. -sings the Au Lang Sign (sounds like this but i dont know how to spell) song ):

We've finally seen our 'juniors' around in school. And did I mention that ours is the first batch of full-time intake? Yes, that makes them the second.

Oh and I had to pay 72 bucks for a missing book that is borrowed under my IC. The worse part is I don't even know how it looks like man.

Just take it that I paid to shut the librarian up then. :/

I recieved 4 missed calls after work yesterday, called back to find out that 'Little-Skool-House' is hiring teachers.

The lady asked if I'm keen in the position and of cos I said YES.

Why not just give a try to see if it's suitable? Am going for an interview with the supervisor on coming Thursday.

I've really gotta dress professionally as I've heard they are kinda strict on dress code as it's a higher end childcare (meaning higher pay compared to the rest lah. haha)

There was choir today and I didn't know it. Guess what? I walked all the way to Park Mall, wanting to give Mummy a treat but found out there was in the end. ):

The weather's been rather warm nowadays and I've been perspiring twice than usual. No wait, maybe thrice. :D & my kids teperature are all rising as well. One even had a high fever and I had to sponge him and stuff.

Talking about those cards, my main teacher and I had a hard time making them with each child. We rolled colourful crepe papers into tiny balls and stick them into a shape of a heart. But still, it's a totally wonderful experience! [:[:

I am soooo very glad that the ARC person replied my email regarding my assignment. YAY, at least we won't have to do some really last minute work `cos I've got work later and tomorrow. [:[:

Yesterday
Two very pretty yellow & blue birds flew straight past me while I was on the way to work. I took another step forward, only to find out another pair of yellow butterflies fluttering nearby. Oh God, is this some mating season or what? And stop being so 'romatic' in front of me lah! HHAHAHA.

Back at work:
I wanted to interview Teacher Nancy, the Special Needs teacher, but she said she isn't sure if she's the right person to answer those questions. (confusing aye) Yes yes, how very humble of her. She's such a sweetie to help me ask her BIG BOSS instead and get in touch with me through email with the answers. Said she'd try rushing to get back to me on Satuday as the assignment's due on coming Monday. Aww, such NICE people still exist! -hugs Teacher Nancy real tightly

There was this new girl, Ethel in my class. A lovely name to match a pretty face.
Well, she's not exactly a new girl though. It was most unfortunate that she had to leave this childcare a few years back for treatment of blood cancer. So she had finally returned when she's fully recovered. Thank God.

Boy, you should see the way she jumped over a big block and said truimphantly, "Teacher, look! I can jump over this." Something she said about the 'teacher' word somewhat melted my heart, which I don't really know why too. Actually, I'd prefer the kids to call me Teacher Hui Yun instead of Miss Chiam. Miss Chiam sounds so.. uhm.. authoritative? :/

Once she toddled over and told me something about the ulcer in her mouth, that it hurts. Me, having one in my mouth too tried consoling her. And unexpectedly, she made a remark "Teacher, don't scared. The ulcer is not very pain actually. The sharp needle at the hospital (she pointed to her chest) is more painful."
Only then did I realised that she had suffered so much when she's only at a tender age of four. Can you imagine that? My heart really cried out for her at that moment. I could only reply: I know Ethel is a very, very strong girl..

A visit to the dentist after work with my parents.
Didcha know that the dentist's very pleasant-looking, not exactly handsome though.

But I like his manly looks and the way HE:
-applied some cream (a thick layer of it) on my ulcer
-took patience for scaling & polishing that area of my mouth (He kept telling his assistant, CAREFUL NOT TO TOUCH THAT ULCER AREA, repeatedly)
-assured me that everything's gonna be alright
-explained the putting of braces and that it wouldn't hurt THAT much
-laughed and joked

Omg, where on earth can you find such close-to-purrrrrfect dentist hur?
Now, you tell me! He certainly took my fear from sitting on the dental seat away man. Thank you, Dr. Leong! (:

And oh Lord, I pray that Ethel will not and will never suffer so much pain again. Amen.

As mentioned in the previous post, Sheryl came over to my place today for assignment.
We're supposed to meet in Junction 8 but me, being lazy to shift my arse & put on lens, kindly invited the babe of mine to come over. Yes I know I'm mean but isn't it better with less noise, less people, more space and better internet connection?! HHAHAHAHA.

At least we managed to get something done and splitted some part at the end of the day. Thank God.

I just sent 2 emails out: one to ARC to ask more about the early intervention & assessment for Special Needs assignment and the other to my field supervisor to confirm the date and time. She's gonna see how well (or badly) I conduct my lesson at the centre.

Monday blues plus moring lecture today.
Saw En chang at the train station today and this ah pu nei (am trying to be rude here) in the train, who was on the phone kept spatting his not-so-nice-smelling saliva all over my back. That reminds me the merlion at Esplanade spitting out the water and something about this person/animal though. (MERLION: seconday school days) -stares at Jade. You know what am I talking about babe! {:

Oh, and I bumped into Freddie downstairs the school building.
He's in CHEC you see. Gee, bumped into all my seconday school juniors today. Hhahaha.

I know I mentioned I might be skipping church today.. however, I DID NOT.

First reason: Because my Sunday School teacher wanted to pass me the lesson plan which I'm gonna teach on July, 1st. Feeling a nervous, but it's still like 2 months away. So HACK with it and concentrate on my other assignments. Heehee.

Second reason: My girlfriend, Jia Ying's gonna put her braces on Tuesday already. She said she'd want some photo-taking so I went down to choir for those snappings with my gorgeous babe. And I know she'll look good with those railway tracks in her mouth. HHAHAHA. How mean, but I'm only kidding alright! :D

And Samuel brought this new guy from M'sia named kelvin/kevin (i dont know). When he introduced us, guess what he said?

I went downstairs to get some stuffs a moment ago when I met this wonderful neighbour of mine in the lift.

Him: So how's your early childhood course?
Me: Fine -smiles
Him: So after the course can open your own childcare already lah?
Me: Yupps, unless I take the ECH- Leadership course. (which I don't even intend to take it after graduation)
Him: I see. People nowadays either earn money from the elderlys (he meant Nursing if you don't get it) or children's money.
Me: -forced out a sweet smile and walked out of the lift.
My mama taught me manners WHAAAAAAT!
Just listen to that underlined meaning of his. How evil & crude his words can be.

If I really want to earn children's money, I'd wanna take DPL after graduation but I DID NOT.
Instead, I wanna branch into Special Needs or Child Psychology. And it's rather hurting to hear him saying that man. )'x

Special Needs exam today was not too bad. mmMmm, I should say it's MANAGABLE. Almost everything came out from her notes. Thank God. (:
One down and another paired assignment (doing with Sher baby) to go for that module. Oh yes, did I mention I'm gonna do an interview with my centre's Special Needs teacher for assignment? Meanwhile, i can dig some info for my future job scope. Am looking forward to it. Haha!

And I think today is the ultimate bumping-into-friends day.

Before starting this post, I wanna thank people who tagged for their opinion of ME putting on braces. Looks like I look fine without it. Heh. Thanks sweeties, and I'll visit the dentist before making my final decision. (:

Morning lecture and we did this so-called personality test in class.
Now then I realised I'm a mixture of an introvert and extrovert- a balanced of both.
Headed to Bugis to have lunch with Mummy dearest after lesson at Pastamania.
We shopped a little and went home cos' I haven't even started studying for Special Needs Exam on Friday.. that is only 4 days away. -screams

Yesterday

Led the children's worship (p1 to p3) and the whole world knows that Hui Yun's chinese SUX big time. Sam even said I was like having oral, reading from the script. YA LAH, YOUR CHINESE'S DAMNNNNNN GOOOOOD CAN?! :D
So long as the kids understand me can alrdy right right right? Hhahaha.

Oh, and talking about kids, they 'bullied' me by wanting me to solo the entire song. One man show ah. And in my mind was: Hello, I'm not there to entertain them but to led worship to praise God. :/ Anyway, I'm glad everything went QUITE smoothly except for the part which I read the word wrongly from the screen. Baaaaaah.

Hello people.

I'll be going for work in an hour's time and guess what?
The kids and I will be making STRAWBERRY MILKSHAKE today.
Well, of cos it isn't really strawberry. Strawberry jam with milk I should say.

It starts at 9 and I only realised it from a text from Louisa when I was just happily strolling to the train station. Lesson learnt: HUIYUN PLEASE DON'T ASSUME THAT MORNING LECTURES ALWAYS STARTS AT 10. SO YOU'D BETTER CHECK YOUR TIMETABLE THE NIGHT BEFORE.

Anyway, just ended work. My supervisor approached me once more about my practicum as well as work in the future. She offered me a job as a teacher/special needs teacher in her childcare. And I was like 'Uhm. Give me some time to consider?' I know you guys must be wondering if this girl's crazy or what. GOT PEOPLE OFFER JOB BEFORE GRADUATION STILL DON'T WANNA ACCEPT?! Hhahaha. I shall just look around first lah. :D

Thursday
Went to the Autism Resource Centre (ARC), also called Pathlight School with the class and some NP students. As the name suggests, it's a special school, integrated with the main stream curriculum, which means they provide a blend of academic studies as well as life skills for children with Autism. Photos up another day. Waiting for my Louisa babe to upload and send them.

Yesterday
Had a massive photo-shooting session in school after lunch. Because of me being an exclusive model for the school.. RIGHT. Nah kidding :D
Reason being- Our class is the first intake of full-time diploma course students.
So we have the HONOUR to get our photos taken, which I think is rather fake. Who smiles during lectures in class HUH you tell me. She must be either insane or not right in the mind. Heh.

Talking about this, a big congrats to Samuel for being accepted into NUS. Looks like those 3 years of hard work in poly paid off. I'm happy for you too boy. ((:

Oh, and did I mentioned that my assignments are due on the 17th, which is coming Tuesay. I bet DPE 28's rushing theirs now, so do I. So..

HAPPY EASTER SWEETIES!

Didcha realised that I've updating my blog regularly nowadays? The reason being is.. I've gotten really sick and tired of doing up charts that are supposed to be placed in my centre's learning corners. My supervisor may be nice & sweet, but she's rather fussy & DEMANDING at times. It's always 'Hui Yun this, Hui Yun that. Hui Yun, can you please come to my office? I need to speak to you.' -says in a high-pitched voice, WHEN I'M IN THE MIDST OF DOING SOMETHING. I certainly do hope she's got eyes to see that herself. And she wants me to go down everyday in the afternoon if I only have morning lectures, that is like on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Fridays?! Yes, I don't mind going dowm if she asked nicely and at least show some appreciation. I'm not going to do some FREE LABOUR there man. Gosh.

HAPPY GOOD FRIDAY.

Well, it isn't really happy though. Anyway, we should be thankful that our saviour died for us though He did not commit any sins. [:

I saw this pretty boy in the train on the way home just now. Everyone who knows me WELL knows that I've got this thing about pretty boys. Anyway, he was one of the prettiest boy I've ever seen. (okay, don't talk abt wu zun. I've never seen him before) Boy, you should see the way he held the pole, the way he holds his mobile, the way he speaks, the way he stood- folding his arms.. Oh and my supervisor told me that I could work in the centre as some sort of a Special Needs teacher. She said she'll let me go for an interview to see if I'm ready to take up that challenge, which I am so damn happy to hear! Although these challenges can sometimes seem quite daunting and gthe results, often far from instant, I really crave for a meaningful professional life and a career that is truly rewarding and heart-warming. It's like everything's been path-ed for me. My supervisor's recommending me a job to my liking even before graduation! Can you believe it? [:

Professional Development module. Belinda's lectures are not THAT bad. Well, at least I'm being kept awake. Anyway, did I mentioned I've spoke to her in NP like a year back when I was asking about their ECH course? She asked me exactly the same question she asked the class on Monday:

What do you play when you're young? It'd usually link to one's job in the future. So if you keep playing pirates, you'd be ONE next time, with that black thingy covering an eye. HHAHAHA. :D
And guess what my answer was to her? It was being a teacher to my dolls, marking their work & writing on the white board. (:
Now then I realised the purpose of her asking that.

I'm BACK & blogging from the school com. I've got this BIG BIG news! Okay, it may not be THAT kinda big news to you, but it is to me.

THIS SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD FROM MY CLASS FINALLY SAID "BYE BYE MISS CHIAM" WHEN HE WAS LEAVING WITH HIS MUMMY FOR HOME.

My class teacher was like practically staring at me man. These are the first words he ever say to a particular teacher, using her name. I was shocked, more of stunned in fact.
S-P-E-E-C-H-L-E-S-S.

Work was rather fulfilling yesterday though I was down with a little flu.
Now then I truly realised how much power a teacher can actually affect a particular child.

It really spur me to branching into Special Needs/ Child Psychology.

Hui Yun's back to the world of blogger once more. It's been more than two weeks since my last post. So.. sorry guys. ):

Anyway, had work yesterday @ YWCA Child Development Centre (in case you guys don't know where I'm working)
I conducted my first lesson plan. Oh well, I think it didn't go very well.

1) This is the first time I'm taking this age group- N2s. (I've taken N1s, K1s & K2s.)
2) Most of the children are born during the later part of the year. So they're only 3, turning 4.

Met up with Jade on last Friday. It's been ages since we last met during last Christmas. We're like so busy too meet often nowadays. Okay, I guess I'm the busier one. Anyway she gave me a new Christian name: MOON. Everyone says HI MOON.

Caught Protégé @ GV Junction 8. Was kinda suprised to see Rui Qin working there. Heh. The movie's not bad. Got hunks like Daniel Wu & Louis Koo.

Headed to town after that. High- tea cum dinner at Paragon's Ding Tai Feng (is that how you spell it?) The food there's superb, trust me, especially it's buns. Oh yes, treated my dearest girlfriend for her very, super belated birthday. Hope you wouldn't mind babe. (:

Next stop: Kino, for Wu Zun's HanaKimi book. Oh yes, I shall place that book beside me every night before bed. -stares at Jade :D

The people from other classes came out to shut me up.

The end of Math module today.
Conducted a combined group lesson & I was shivering like a prawn once more. )'x

We've planned the lesson out very carefully but lacked of teamwork.
Stayed out till very late last night to have it all planned.
To tell you the truth, our group hasn't even run through a single bit.

Remembered how much I complained about this particular module?
I felt so bad today after hearing that her husband's got pneumonia & her daughter, asthma.
Gosh, I shouldn't have moaned about her mad mood, sleepiness and frequent phone calls nowadays.
They just can't be helped, don't they? -sigh
Just hope her family members'll be fine & well again.

Exceptional Children module yesterday. This psychologist came to conduct her lecture on autism instead.
We started the lesson by blindfolding ourselves in a dark room, sitting.
Selected students were to so-called scare us with fur, ice, deodorants and something very sticky. (Which I dunno what's that!)

Everyone was like screaming their lungs out.
We CANT see anything but just those little things freaked us out.
Now, I truly understand how an autistic child feels like.
Its kinda sad actually, but we've got to include them no matter what. {:

And I gotta admit that Hui Yun is a very, super, extremely careless person.
She lost another 80 bucks yesterday, in the toilet. Yes, you heard it right.
I placed my coin purse on top of the toilet roll rack & forget to take it.
After walking a couple of steps out of the toilet, I dashed back only to find an empty purse without all my hard-saved blue & red notes.

Scold me all you want man.
I lost my wallet with IC & cash last month and now, this.
This time, I'm really gonna learn from my mistake alrdy.

Okay back to today.
Mummy' really nice to accompany me to ICA building to collect muaa IC.
Its closed at 12.30pm so you can imagine how early we gotta get up.
Shopping at Bugis after that. We bought alot of clothes & a pair of pretty heels.
One thing that I like shopping with her is that..
I dont have to pay for stuffs. HAHAHA.

Work yesterday was not bad indeed. In fact, I find it rather meaningful. I'm teaching N2s, 4 years old little angels by the way. There is this Special Needs boy in my class who has a Shadow Teacher in-charge of so called looking after him. She'll just jot down any unusual/usual behaviors. I'm really so facinated by it lah. Though its just a normal job that most people would not have thought of working, I certainly do wanna give it a try. As in to work with these children. They can be really bright though. (:

However, this YWCA Childcare is not quite the same as the ones I've worked in.

1. The children call the teachers 'Miss blah blah' NOT the usual Teacher so & so.

2. The teachers have to do their own lesson plan. The other childcare centres I've worked so far had theirs standardised. Its all done by HR or whoever in charge.

I like the 2nd one but am still not quite used to children calling me Miss HuiYun.

I sound so old. Gosh, I'm not any Primary or Secondary school teacher man. Argh.

Couldn't rushed back in time to watch SiJia's show today. Let It Shine.
BUT heard from my classmates that she'll be wearing a dress & heels tmr to date that horny guy out. (x

Math module today agaaaaaain! One word: BORING.
The lecturer's got a weird accent. Totally shitified. Argh.

It was raining heavily when Gracie & I headed to Suntec to have pudding milk tea.
We always go there for this particular reason luh. Their milk tea rocks totally. (:
Recommendation: Cup-walker.

Went over to Marina Sq. for lunch. Its gotta be baked rice at Marina Loft Foodcourt.
Its always pudding milk tea @ Suntec & baked rice there. Our favourite hang-outs. Luckily school's located so near to these 2 places.

Chatted & shared alot with that babe. Its really sweet of her to accompany me for lunch though she's not feeling well. But her unwell feeling faded after continous chats, walks & trying out shirts at Zara. Thank God. {:

The Clique & I were supposed to meet at MSQ but we ended up at J8 instead.
But still, I had a wonderful time with you guys. Thanks loads babes & hunks. Hope to catch up with you guys soon.

Yesterday's Exceptional Children module's okay I guess. But Sukuna was speaking so quickly like a bullet train. And there are sooo many terms & definitions to learn. She was like randomly picking students up to answer her questions. This was like super sudden luh. Stress ah! Got to study real hard alrdy. RAH! -pouts-

Interview with YWCA childcare supervisor on Wed was kinda scary I must admit. She posed me with ALOT of questions & kept commenting that I'm very YOUNG. I was like 'Young so what? The younger the person, the more potential okay! Don't belittle me.' But she's really nice to give me a chance to work. Work starts on coming Wed- 17th. And I'm definitely gonna prove her wrong! teehee.

9th Jan- Tuesday

Math module today again. It last for the entire day luh. Kinda boring to me though I had a presentation in the morning.

I've vow not to slack already! Sigh. ):

Nth much to blog about today, just school. So shall blog about Sunday instead. (:

A new year & a new bunch of lovely N1 Sunday School kids. I wanted to follow my last year N1s up but the current N1s are short of teachers. Therefore, I decided to stay on. Teaching N1s are actually rather challenging. You've gotta get rid of their stranger anxiety as they're in a totally new environment with unfamilar faces. And they're always crying for their parents. Yeah, so it can really be a headache.

However, I seem to be enjoying it. Yes, you heard it correctly. They're really nice people to work with lah. I really adore a little boy named Samuel (not that BIG Sam, mind you). His parents just left him alone & he could warm up almost immediately after that. He began chatting & laughing & walking around the classroom. My first impression: Wow. He's one clever boy! He adapted so DAMN WELL. Pardon me but I really gotta use THAT word. Its pretty amazing.

Got this Sunday School teacher meeting with Sam & Jin Ming and the other teachers. Had choir after that & chatted quite alot of Shi Jia. She'll be acting for 'Let it shine!' That new channel 8 show together with the CSS people. Its at 7pm people! And I really gotta comment that she looks so handsome. I'd fall for her if I'm bent. Hehheh. I'm serious. (x

Headed to Plaza Sing. to meet Mummy there. Shopped till my legs ache & while we're walking home at around 7.30pm, we saw this green thingy across the sky. Later, it was reported to be a shooting star. How cool! Luckily I've made a wish that night. {: I remembered I once saw 2 rainbows overlapping while I was with Mummy. Guess she's my lucky star. Woots.

Math module today was not as bad as I've expected it to be. The lecturer's not too bad. But I just dislike Math, don't know why. Maybe its due to bad experiences during Primary school. Worksheets after worksheets. Agrh. It sux totally.

I've come to realise that this year's lecturers have quite high expectations of the class. Oh well, this may be a good thing after all. I found myself to be listening to their lectures intently. HAHAHA. Gotta push myself to work harder. No more slacking, Hui Yun.

Lunch at Raffles City with my 3 chilli babes. The 4 of us hardly get together due to our hectic schedule. So, feeling real blessed though its just sitting down to have a simple meal & chat. {:

Sheryl went to work, Grace went home to rest. Louisa & I headed down to Far East to have her hair treatment. Just see how wonderful this friend is to accompany her beloved buddy. HURHUR.
And talking about hair, my hair's all BLACK now.

Me: I know lah. I'm thinking if dying it soon.

Yes Yes, I know I look like a small girl now. You don't expext me to dye half head & leave the other black don't you? My previous childcare centre supervisor last year was kinda shocked at the look of my hair colour.
Should continue to leave it black or just dye it?

Okay, back to today.-
While both of us are heading towards the train station, these 2 guys were howling at the escalator on the opposite direction. Its called wolf-call actually, how attention-seeking! Ignoring them, Louie & I continued chatting till suddenly I felt a tug on my bag. Turning around, I thought I've seen a lion that has escaped from the zoo for a moment. That guy's hair was totally bleached. He's the same guy who's howling non-stop luh.

He: Hey! Are you _____'s friend? (I don't even know the person he's talking about)
I: Uh? NO.
He: But you ice-skate right?
I: Ya.
He: Oh, nice meeting you. Sorry if I recognised the wrong person.

I was like WTH?! Nice meeting me? I don't recall seeing him at the skating rink before. Guys nowadays are getting weirder. =/
However, I don't mind meeting the OTHER guy I've mentioned in my previous entry. If we really meet again some day, I guess its definitly FATED. {:

First day of school. Had a new module- Exceptional Children.

Its a rather interesting module to to me. Learnt lots of stuffs. Might be branching into this after I graduate from the course. (:

So, there are differences between a disability & a handicapped. And the gifted is catergorised under Exceptional Children too. We have networking with other people overseas, assignments & EXAMS. Yes, exams! Its 50percent of the entire module. So gotta do really well.

I'm starting to look forward to more of Thurday lectures. Cool module & a fun lecturer- Sukuna. A wonderful year to start with. {:

26th Dec- Tuesday

BBQ at Jonathon's place. Cooker-Q rather. It was raining so heavily that we cant even start the fire. Everything was so wet.
Not many turned up. Some because of the weather. As if they'll just melt under the rain. -rolls eye. The best thing is Jon, the host, wasn't even present luh. =/ Went for his fellowship thingy. Like wth.
However, we had much fun all the same.
I played table tennis with our dearest Jeremy. He's in national and school team, so you can guess how good he is. Aunty Mary & I had a hard time catching the ball. Roar!

I fell into the pool while everyone was trying to push Jeremy in.
My phone was in my pocket then. It had emergency treatment in the toilet with the hand dryer & everything. Thanks to all my babes for trying to retrive it. :D

Its ice-skating day! (:

Ler Ler backed out the last mintue. That anti-social guy.
But anyway, finally got to see Jia Ying after ages. She went to China for hoilday during the last 2 weeks.
Met Jun Jie, Porshin & Porlin at Khatib station.
Gave those guys morning call yet we're still late. Sorry. =/

Skated from 10 till around 6.30.
Saw a rather good-looking guy at the rink who'll make your toes curl. xD~ My darling girl agreed also okay.
He skates pretty well too. teehee.
Met him again on the train, in the same cabin, on our way home.
Its FATED luh! (Yun's day-dreaming once more) HAHAHA.

Meeting Louisa dearie for lunch and shopping after church tomorrow.
Looking forward to it. Haven't been seeing her for ages too.
Gonna have a warm bath soon.

HUI YUN LOST HER WALLET. x'(

Mummy accompanied me to ICA building today to have my IC done. Lost it too and gotta pay a hundred bucks for that. My pink Dior wallet's missing with 50 bucks, Posb card, ez link as well as IC. Damn.

It'll be a laughing stock if I were to tell everyone that my wallet's lost in the library last night.
Think the cleaner took it. It couldn't possibly go missing just like that.
Wanna thank Grace & Sher for their help for wallet-hunting. Grace was like practically digging the whole garbage bag for it luh. Thanks a million ladies, not forgetting my Jady lion/birdy. Thanks for your concern babe. (:

But looking on the bright side, Christmas's around the corner.
Mummy bought Sis & I a 5 feet Christmas tree with all the decorations chosen by us.
In other words, we're decorating the tree with the lightings and everything while she's forking all the money.
Do I sound mean? OH, for goodness sake, I'm not. teehee.

Another thing that I'm looking forward to is my work next year.
I'll be changing centre for attachment. Its called YWCA child devlopment centre located just around my house area.

Today's the 13th Dec, the weather outside's super gloomy, so am I. Sigh. I'm sick these few days luh. Fever and a bad flu & sore throat.
However, Sher & Grace are so very nice to come down Bishan to have our project done during the last 2 days. They're coming down tmr as well. Aww, aren't they very sweet people? Yes, very. Thanks truckloads GIRLFRIENDS! {:

Monday @ Mos for discussion and drawing of floorplan. We gotta decide on the different learning corners, the no. of children allowed at a particular corner. All architectual facilities gotta be drawn in SCALE. Gosh, I felt like an architect and an engineer. For goodness sake, we're teachers, not any of the above that are mentioned!

Tuesday @ Bishan Library initially. We managed to get one of those cute pop-out thingy to settle down. On the second thought, we cant EAT in the library so went to Mos once more. Boy, the 3 of us aren't going there for the whole of next month alrdy. x)

Saw Kevin, the S&K guy whom I met during work at the beginning of the year.
He went 'Xiao mei mei. How come not working in Bal anymore?' Hello, I've got so many assignments and I aren't any small girl. I'm a big grown up lady alrdy okay. teehee.

I still remembered the other time when the 2 of us went for break together.
Kevin: What secondary school are you in previously?
Me: Oh, its a very lousy one. You wont know the school if I tell you either.
Kevin: Ok fine. Any lousy isn't as lousy as mine. You wont know mine too. So what's yours?
Me: Bishan Park Sec.
Kevin: SERIOUS?! I'm in that school too.
Both: HAHAHA.

Both of us are from the same sec school luh. The only difference is that he's like 4 years OLDER than me so I guess we've never seen each other around in school. Common thing: We think THAT school sux. Not-so-nice environment but with nice and wonderful friends & certain teachers. Doncha agree too? {:

Kinda miss working in Bal. The people there are not bad. Especially my Joanne Mummy! As well as the S&K people luh. Thanks for taking care of this Xiao mei mei here. (:

Went home straight after school, then over to Aunty Mary's place.
Bought a cute looking cake and a bottle of olive oil for her. Glad that she like them. (:
Scared the hell out of Sam when he's resting on the sofa. HAHAHA. (Her mom told me to do so.)
Tinee (is that how you spell it?) & Sam was like crazy over some chinese show. Its got a lame storyline I must admit.

Had dinner at their place and cut the cake after that.
Sang an out-of-tune 'Happy Birthday' song for Aunty Mary.
I love that little cup made of chocolate on top of that cake. Its looks so real.
Glad that eveyone enjoyed the cake. (Yun's got such wonderful taste. xD)

Uncle Peter came & fetched me home after that.
Both he & A.Mary's going for a concert. Woots.

I'm rushing my assignments tonight.

So here's a short and sweet post for today:-

Woke up at 6.30 in the morning. Reached Sembawang super early, at 8.
DPE 28 left Sembawang station at 8.30 for NTUC childcare.
Went to the infants' bay first. The babies are real adorable especially Baby Issac who kept smiling. {:
Then to Playgroup, K1 & K2.
Our group did assessment of the environment of K2s. They had a whole classroom to themselves, which was pretty cool.

Had Cavana chicken rice for lunch.
Headed back to school for lecture at 1.
Went up to 8th level training room instead of our usual 4th level.
The room's super cold & I was shivering all the way.
Did presentation wih Sheryl. Only the 2 of us. Pathetic.

Headed to Suntec with my 3 chilli babes. It's been rare as the 4 of us dint really go out together for ages alrdy.
Glad that some things are being settled among ourselves. Hope it wont happen once more. =/
Emjoyed looking at the different teaching aids and toys there.
Went back home after that.

Assignment time for now.

I 'VE GOT REAL BAD NEWS. All the photos of my kids and the ones I've taken during the implementation of my Science are all GONE. Gone as in SERIOUSLY gone. Accidentally reformated the damn camera while trying to take the date stamp away. I wanna sue the creator of that sony cam. I just click a button and the entire thing was gone in a second. Like wtf. Now gotta retake those pictures again. I'm so freaking pissed off now. Argh.

Went over to Sher baby's place. Gracie's leaving for Aussie today. Guess she's in the plane by now alrdy. Wishing her Bon Voyage & will be praying for her safety. Hope you'd have fun there while Sher & I are here, suffering from piling assignments. =/
